Top 5 ranks in various events decided on 2nd day of Gymnastics C’ship

JAMMU, Nov 23: On the second day of the 56th Artistic Gymnastics and 25th Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship some scintillating performances were given by the competing gymnasts.
The event has been organized by Gymnastics Association of Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with J&K Sports Council and is underway at new Gymnastics Hall, MA Stadium Jammu, under the aegis of Gymnastics Federation of India and J&K Olympic Association.
About 600 gymnasts including officials from different states of India are participating under the supervision of Technical Director GS Bawa and in the presence of Chairman Organizing Committee Rajesh Gupta, President of Gymnastics Association J&K and Vice President Gymnastics Federation of India Er Kiran Wattal, President Gymnastics and others.
In the Championship teams from various states including Uttrakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Rajasthan, Punjab, Orissa, Maharashtra, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Karanataka, Kerala, Jharkhand, Jammu Kashmir, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Delhi are participating.
During the second day of the championship, participants who have qualified as the top 5 ranks in various events included Men Artistic Gymnastics Under 17 (Still Rings)- Deepak Saini (148) from Rajasthan, Aryan Dawande (140) from Maharashtra, Devendra Saini (149) from Rajasthan, Dipesh Lashkari (153) from Madhya Pradesh and Nishant Karandikar (138) from Maharashtra
In Men Artistic Gymnastics Under 17 (Pommel Horse)- Jatin Kumar Kanojia (182) from Uttar Pradesh, Prithvi Saha (130) from Delhi, Pritam Dey (104) from West Bengal, Paras Singh Karki (131) from Delhi and Pranav Mishra(184) from Uttar Pradesh
In Men Artistic Gymnastics Under 17 (Floor Exercises)- Sumit Dhali (143) from Goa, Aryan Dawande (140) from Maharashtra, Pranav Kushwaha (181) from Uttar Pradesh, Megh Roy (141) from Maharashtra and Pranav Mishra (184) from Uttar Pradesh.
In Women Artistic Gymnastics Under 15 (Uneven Bars)- Riya Kelkar (335) from Maharashtra, Piyasa Kundu (301) from West Bengal, Sukhnoor Preet Kaur (319) from Punjab, Devyani Kolte (336) from Maharashtra and Udita Parmar (328) from Delhi.
InWomen Artistic Gymnastics Under 15 (Vaulting Table)- Anushka Jana (302) from West Bengal, Meharin S Saj (387) from Kerala, Sukhnoor Preet Kaur (319) from Punjab, Jinia Debnath (303) from West Bengal and Riya Kelkar (335) from Maharashtra
Coaches of different teams, judges and players from different states were also present.
