JAMMU/DRASS, Nov 25: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), organized one day free orthopedic and cardiac camp at Drass sub-station. The camp was organized as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. Around 100 persons from four villages of Drass Beras, Muradbagh, Holyial and Trongjun benefitted from the camp.
CMO Kargil had deputed Dr. Shujat and Dr. Zameer for this camp. Free medicines were also distributed in the camp. The beneficiaries and the local authorities thanked POWERGRID for organizing the camp. The POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED is a Maharatna Enterprise under Ministry of Power having its regional headquarters of Northern Region-II at Jammu. POWERGRID is engaged in inter-state bulk power transmission. POWERGRID has 172,104 ckm of transmission lines, 264 Sub-stations and more than 464,292 MVA of transformation capacity.
