| GDC Thananamandi celebrates International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women | | |

Rajouri, Nov 25: GDC Thannamandi Women Development cell under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahaotsav celebrated “International Day for the violence against women”. The celebration aims at empowering women and making them aware regarding various legal provisions and acts for the elimination of violence against women. In this regard poster making competition was organized by Women Development Cell of the college on the topic “Stop Violence against Women”. The programme was held under the patronship of Principal of the college Prof. (Dr) Javaid Ahmed Qazi and organized by Dr. Nahiem un Nisa Convener Women Development Cell. The judges of the event were Prof. Ajaz Nazir HOD Physics, Dr. Khalid Rayiaz HOD Geography and Prof. Fatima Qazi HOD Political Science. Out of all the participants Javaria Khan of BSc 1st Semester secured 1st rank, Uzma Jaral of 3rd sem secured 2nd rank, Assia Malik of 3rd semester and Shahreen Mirza of 1st semester shared 3rd rank.
