| GDC Ukhral international day violence against women | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 25: Government Degree College Ukhral organized an awareness programme on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
The programme was organized with the purpose to aware and sensitizes the Students about the Gender equality and violence’s against the Women in the society.
Prof. Iftikhar Hussain Lone (HOD English) presented the welcome address in which he highlighted the aims and objectives of the programme.
The session was inaugurated by the Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Ranvijay Singh in which he talked about the various kinds’ of violation against the women. On this occasion various faculty member including Dr. Shafiq Ahmed Katoch (HOD Urdu) also throw light on the importance of the programme.
Dr. Akhtar Rasool was resource person on the occasion in his address he said “to put our heads and hearts together, to work harder and faster to make women’s health and gender equality a reality for all.
We must do much better and we can”.
Various students participated and presented their views on the issue. At last vote of thanks was given by Dr. Altaf Rasool (HOD Education).
The programme was conducted and coordinated by Prof. Zakir Hussain Naik (HOD Political Science). |
