PG College Bhaderwah organizes Int’l Conference on Environment and Ecology

BHADERWAH Nov 28: Department of Zoology, Govt Post-Graduate College Bhaderwah organized 7th International Conference on Environment and Ecology from 26th to 28th November, 2021 in collaboration with International Foundation for Ecology and Environment, Kolkota, Department of EVS, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu and Department of Botany, St Xavier’s College, Ranchi, Jharkhand. The conference was organized under the patronship of Dr Kuldeep Kumar Sharma, Principal GDC Bhaderwah and Convenership of Dr Wahied Khawar Balwan, Assistant Professor Zoology along with organizing team members namely Prof Mansa Ram, Prof Ashwani Kumar, Prof Jaideep Kumar and Dr Isha Salathia. During the conference about 160 abstracts from different institutes were received for presentation in oral and poster format. The prominent speaker in the conference were Dr Amit Krishna De, Advisor Indian Science Congress Association, Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr Dilip Kumar Jha, Professor Agricultural University Rampur Chitwan, Nepal and Dr Ashis Kumar Panigrahi, Professor, Pro-Vice chancellor University of Burdwan West Bengal and Dr Binay Chakraborty, Professor Bangladesh Agricultural University Dhaka, Bangladesh. During the conference, Dr Wahied Balwan, Convener and Organizing Secretary of the conference released the book entitled ‘Environmental Studies’ co-authored by him and also receives the ‘Environment Excellence Award’ from IFEE Society Kolkata. The conference ended with concluding remarks by Dr Tanmoy Rudra, Director IFEE Kolkata and Dr Arnesha Guha Secretary IFEE Kolkota with the note to care for the environment.
