JAMMU, Nov 28: NSS unit of GGM Science College under the patronage of Principal Dr. Ravender Tickoo and guidance of NSS PO, Dr Deepali Mahajan organized an online quiz on ‘Awareness, Prevention and Control of Common Non-Communicable Diseases’. Awareness of disease and symptoms is essential for screening and early detection. 150 students of the college took part in the E quiz via Google form. E certificates were given to all the participants who got 80% and more. Public awareness is important to increase enthusiasm and support, stimulate self-mobilization and action, and mobilize local knowledge and resources particularly in times of covid-19 pandemic. People who eat a well-balanced diet tend to be healthier with stronger immune systems and lower risk of chronic illnesses and infectious diseases.
