JTC, SKF protest continue at Jagti

JAMMU, Nov 28: The Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) protest entered 422nd day today. A protest demonstration was held at Jagti Township near Nagrota under the chairmanship of JTC and SKF president, Shadi Lal Pandita.
Addressing the protesters, Shadi Lal Pandita, president JTC and SKF, appealed the UT and Central Government to increase the monthly cash relief of relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month immediately. He also demanded package of 20,000 jobs for unemployed youth of Kashmiri migrants and one job to each family which has no serving Government employee.
He further demanded three satellite townships be built in Kashmir Valley near Baramulla, Srinagar and Anantnag for return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits. Besides, compensation of 32 years property loss and balanced /pending ex-gratia of gutted houses, looted and damaged, properties be released in favour of affected families.
He also demanded compensation for over aged youth, removal of encroachments from migrants, properties and religious places as well as grant of political and minority status to Kashmiri Pandits.
Others who participated in the protest sit-in included Vijay Bakshi, Rakesh Ambardar, Charanjeet Singh, Shuban Raina, Sunil Koul, G M Khan, Ab Rahman Dar, Satish Pandita, Vinod Bhat, Tej Krishan, Ram Ji, Mithan Pandita, Gurdeep Singh, SL Kar, Omprakash Mahajan, Amit Suri, Lalita Pandita, Urmilla Kanth, Girja Pandita, Kusam Lata, Tosha Bhat and Usha Bhat.
