JAMMU, Nov 29: World Literature India, under the aegis of Aazaad Foundation organized an international conference. “The focus of the international meet was Living with Dignity and Divinity”, said Dr. Jernail S. Anand, Chairman of the Conference.
A society under transformation makes specific demands on its poets and intellectuals to revise the strategies of human perception and write not only about the angst that the human kind is facing, but also to strategize how to come out of the quagmire of staticity. Around 30 poets from India and abroad participated.
World Literature India has organized World Poetry Conferences in October 2019, October 2020 and June 2021 and now, it is fourth WPC that is being organized offline. At this occasion, several books were released Prof. Brahm Jagdish Singh’s monograph, the semantic universe of Dr. Jernail Singh Anand, [in Punjabi], 10 works by Dr. Jernail Singh Anand, Dr. Subhash Sethi's 'ankahe Rishte' (short stories) Jas Kohli’s famous novel, ‘Lights, Wedding, Ludhiana’, Raj Babu Gandham’s ‘Drizzle’, Meenakshi Goswami’s ‘Waltzing Words’, were also among the books released. The chief guest of the function was Prof. Brahm Jagdish Singh while Prof. Manish Wayyer, Senator, Punjab University and Dr. Subash Sethi were guests of honour. Dr. Manminder Singh Anand welcomed the guests and outlined the priorities of Aazaad Foundation, while Dr. Parneet Jaggi and Ashu Garg anchored the proceedings. |
