| Kalaban people stages protest demonstration against RDD, PR | | |

POONCH, Nov 29: People of far flung and backward villages like Kalaban, Panchayat Faizabad accused Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj for mismanagement in government schemes in their Panchayat Mendhar here in Kalaban area. People staged a massive protest demonstration against department.
The demonstrators blocked the road and raised slogans against ACD Poonch and Rural Development Department. They accused that the names of all deserving people of the panchayat, which were to be given under the PMAY list have been removed from the list. They said that when they went to the officer of the Assistant Commissioner Development Poonch, he also rubbed their shoulders and told them that the names have been deleted from higher authorities, which seem that poor and helpless are ignored in all government schemes.
The demonstrators accused RDD and said that the union government is treating well with poor masses but officials are harassing them for loot. They said that department's officials are working for influential and political persons and there is no hearing of the poor people in RDD. They have appealed to Lieutenant Governor, Director Rural Development Department to intervene into the matter and take action against negligent and corrupt officials.
