| Waqf building, 2 houses damaged in Kashmir fire | | |

Srinagar, Nov 29: Two houses and a Waqf Property worth lakhs was destroyed in two separate fire incidents in Kashmir valley on Monday.
A fire office spokesman said, fire broke out in an attic of a two storey residential house at Dareshkadal in down town Srinagar and engulfed another adjacent house causing extensive damage to upper storyies of both the houses. However, timely action by firefighters put the flames off before it could flare up to other houses in the vicinity. A Waqf building and a hosiery shop was gutted in the incident that broke out at Larnoo Kokernag area in south Kashmir causing damage to the property worth lakhs. However, the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained, the fire office said.
