DDC Chairperson conducts public outreach programme at Gandhri; Launches construction work of Gandhri to Tangar road

RAMBAN, Dec 1: Continuing her public outreach campaign, the Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan interacted with the public of Block Gandhri and listened to their grievances and redressed the same on the spot.
Earlier, the Chairperson also kick started the construction work of Gandhri to Tangar road via Barnar.
BDC Chairperson, Shamshad Begum; DDC Councillor, Shamim Akhter; Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma; ACD Zameer Rishu; Chief Medical Officer Dr Mohammad Fareed, XENs PWD, PHE, ACP, DPO and several other officers and officials were present on the occasion.
Responding to the public issues, the Chairperson assured people to take up the demand for provision of Ambulance at the appropriate forum. She also listed various developmental works started and proposed for the area under PRI grants and assured to take up the issues and genuine demands with the concerned departments including setting up of Farmer Producer Organisation in the horticulture sector.
She urged people to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour and registerfor SEHAT and e- Shram Schemes. She also impressed upon the people to take advantage of Apni Zameen Apni Nigrani platform of Government to maintain their land record.
While directing the officers to sensitize the people about schemes of their respective departments, the Chairperson instructed the Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department to hold awareness camp at Gandhri.
Responding to the issue raised by the people, the ADDC directed CMO to enquire about the supply of medicine for the Block. He asked the PRIs and general public to participate in Gram Sabhas to ensure desired development of their areas.
Officers of line Departments also highlighted their respective schemes and asked people to come forward to take benefit of the same.
Earlier, PRIs and general public highlighted their demands and sought Water Supply Schemes for Bhatni and Tangar, Ambulance for Bhatni, medical staff for Dharamkund and Kabbi Health Centres, inclusion of left out schools under JJM, Ration depot for Gandhri, ATM for Gandhri, Solar lights, Animal Husbandry Centre, Transformer for Panchayat Kabbi and up-gradation of of Kanga Gandhri road.
The DDC Chairperson assured people that their genuine demands would be fulfilled in a time bound manner.
