NH-44 four laning project: DC Ramban inspects progress of work
Directs to construct drainage, protection walls to avoid damage to residential houses

RAMBAN, Dec 1: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today inspected pace of widening work at various construction sites taken up under National Highway Four-Lanning Project.
He also resolved bottlenecks and issues highlighted by the locals.
DDC Councillor, Renuka Katoch; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal ( Collector Land Acquisition NH-44 Four Laning Project); Project Director, NHAI, Parshotam Kumar; Dy. SP Pardeep, PRIs, representatives of construction companies, other concerned officers and locals were present on the occasion.
The DC directed the executing agencies to construct drainage and culvert at Kunfer- Chanderkote stretch as demanded by the locals. He asked the Project Director, NHAI to develop a proper drainage system in the area to protect the houses from outflow of rainwater.
The DC directed the construction agencies to take special measures to avoid damage to houses by building protection walls and drainage alongside ROW. He inspected the construction work of vehicle parking at Karol Ramban with a space for parking 200-250 Heavy vehicles.
During the spot inspection, the DC also resolved local issues hindering pace of construction works at a few locations by passing necessary instructions to concerned officers.
The Directions were also issued to executing agencies to expedite works of NH-44 four laning to complete prestigious national projects.
Earlier, the Deputy Commission also visited Chanderkote at Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) Yatri Niwas site, to take stock of the progress of ongoing construction work.
