YCET organizes webinar on “Startup Entrepreneur”

JAMMU, Dec 1: The Department of Civil Engineering, Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology ( YCET ) organized a webinar on “Startup Entrepreneur” on 1st December, 2021 for Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering students.
The session began with welcome address by Er Rajnish Magotra, HOD (Civil Engg.) and Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dean (Academics) & President IIC, YCET briefed about IIC Cell. The programme commenced with the kind words of Prof. ( Dr ) A. K. Srivastava, Director, YCET, who motivated the students and said that India is becoming Global Leader of Startup Entrepreneur which has become the necessity of present time and students should think about it.
The resource person R. Sathya, Assistant Professor and Innovation Ambassador at SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She enlightened the students and faculty about objectives of Startup Entrepreneur and referred that Startups are founded by one or more entrepreneurs who want to develop a product or service for which they believe there is demand. She discussed various types of Startups like small business startups, Buyable startups, Scalable startups. She told that in the present scenario, there is great scope of small startups in the field of Health Care, Accommodation & Food services, Arts, Entertainment and Recreation, Personal trainer, web designing, etc. The session was very interactive followed by Brain Strain Games.
The lecture increased the length and breadth of knowledge. She said that in-depth knowledge of Startups is the need of the hour. Without having thorough knowledge of Startups, it is not possible to enter into a competitive world. The students really got enriched & benefitted by this session. The whole programme was co-ordinated by Er. Sandeep Thakur and vote of thanks was given by Er. Yasar Mumtaz Banday.
