NC playing deceit politics in Jammu, Kashmir : Vakil
12/1/2021 10:30:34 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Dec 1: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference (PC) Vice president Abdul Gani Vakil said it is surprising that Omar Abdullah claiming his National Conference (NC) is sole safeguarding party of Article 370 which people in no way accept.
The former minister said, “Omar Abdullah talks about being sole safeguarding party of Article 370, then why did he continue as the Foreign Minister and did not protest when National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the centre rejected the autonomy resolution passed in then Jammu and Kashmir assembly”.
He said, It is NC who in coalition with Congress was responsible for eroding and undermining the special identity of erstwhile state.
“Not only abolished the 1953 position but also the post of Prime Minister and Sadr-e-Riyasat of Jammu and Kashmir, had damaged the Art 370".
Vakil said that it is surprising to see political parties and leaders who through out their successive regimes weakened the Art 370 now talking of being the sole saviours of it after its abrogation.
He said is that NC and PDP are trying to hoodwink and befool the people by shedding crocodile tears but the people understand their politics of deceit and will not repose faith in them again.
“NC and PDP throughout their successive regimes had reduced Art 370 to a hollow shell by making more than 50 constitutional amendments since 1954", he added.
Vakil assured the people that if the PC comes in power it will definitely publish a white paper in which the role of NC, congress and PDP would be exposed how they weaken Article 370 during their regime.
Vakil further said that the NC and PDP can go to any extreme for power, no matter how much they are disrespected, humiliated.
