Run against drug eviction organized, scores of youth vowed against drugs

UDHAMPUR, Dec 5: Garnering the mass support in Marathon-A Run against Drug Eviction, scores of youth participated and vowed against drugs despite heavy rain & freezing cold weather. The marathon started from Malhar to Garnai with more than 150 youth taking part in it from these two panchayats. Former MLA & Chief Patron Balwant Singh Mankotia said that participation of such a large number of youth in this marathon for a war against drugs has set an example. Participants took a pledge to make the society drug free by participating in the marathon run. Mankotia congratulated locals and youth of both the panchayats (Garnai & Malhar) over the healthy participation and said that it is a war against drugs which will convey a message to the state as well as the whole country through marathon. He said that in recent days most of our youth got trapped in this drug abuse which they had paid by losing their lives. Mankotia said that it is the intrigue of Pakistan to make our youth drug addicts and weaken our nation. It is very necessary to make awareness among youths against drugs. Mankotia said that it is their prime goal to make society drug free and Dogra Kranti Dal is continuously organizing such activities in manner to aware youth, from last many years. A felicitation ceremony was organized in which first prize of ₹3100 given to Suryansh Sharma, second prize of ₹2100 to Vishal Sharma and third prize of ₹1100 to Rohit Sharma besides this all the participants were awarded with certificates.
