| PMSGY Road turns poor man’s house unsafe | | | Rajesh Tandon

Poonch, Dec 5: A road constructed under PMSGY ten years ago turned the house of a poor man unsafe in this frontier district and since then he has been running from pillar to post to seek help but no one seems interested to come for his rescue.
The road under PMSGY was built in the Sib area of Loran in 2011 and since that day a residential house of Mohammad Ibrahim Lone has become unsafe, as the water from road enters into his house.
“Drain and retention wall have been built close to my house and it has made living impossible,” Lone told Early Times.
“Although I have approached concerned authorities on many occasions but all in vain. Executive Engineer, Assistant Executive Engineer, Junior Engineer and all others have befooled me by saying ho jaye ga,” he said.
“There is a lack of accountability in the PMGSY office.
I am feeling unsafe and helpless. I urge Lieutenant Governor to intervene personally and direct the concerned authorities to make my dwelling safe,” Lone said. |
