| Congress delegation led by Shahnawaz Choudhary visits Roop Nagar protest site | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 14: A delegation of Congress leaders led by Shahnawaz Choudhary visited the Roop Nagar where JDA carried out selective eviction drive few days back. Choudhary targeted LG administration and JDA for their selective approach to carry eviction drive against a particular community. Choudhary said this autocratic approach of JDA is being carried out on the direction of LG administration that is working directly on the direction of BJP led central government. He lambasted the BJP leaders by saying that on one hand BJP is claiming of empowering the tribal communities but on ground their administration is snatching their livelihood and resources. He accused JDA for biased approach and dared them to carry out eviction drive against influential BJP leaders namely Bali Bhagat, Nirmal Singh, Kavinder Gupta and Chander Prakash Ganga. He demanded allotment of this particular piece of land to these displaced families and compensation to these families. |
