LJP condemns JDA's drive against Gujjar-Bakerwals in Roop Nagar

JAMMU, Jan 14: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP-Ram Vilas) on Friday condemned Jammu Development Authority's recent drive on Gujjar-Bakerwals in Jammu's Roop Nagar area.
Addressing a press conference, Qadir Malik, State Youth General Secretary said that administration deliberately targeting a particular community while center kept mum on providing forest right to tribals of Jammu and Kashmir.
Ali Hussain, District Youth President Jammu said that target demolition drive against people of a particular community is unacceptable and LJP would not allow administration to get success in this. He said that such moves create mistrust among the large population in the society.
Maharaj Krishan Bhat, State President Migrant Cell JKUT also criticized administration's move and appealed LG Manoj Sinha to conduct free and fair inquiry into the selective demolition.
Rafiq Malik State president, Ghulam Ahmad Nangroo State Gen Secretary, Mulkh Raj State President Labour Cell, Babar Mughal State president Sports and Cultural Wing, Azad Ahmed Mir District president Pulwama, Rayees Malik District youth Gen Secy Jammu and Nirmal District president Jammu were also present.
