ADDC holds public outreach camp at Khawas

RAJOURI, Jan 20: To take the first-hand appraisal of the public grievances at their doorsteps, the Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Pawan Kumar today held a public outreach camp at Khawas.
DDC Member Budhal Old-A, Shazia Kouser; BDC Chairperson Budhal Old-A, Javed Iqbal Chowdhary; DPO ICDS, Kartar Singh; CAO, Sohan Singh Singh; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; ExEn PWD Rajouri, Maqbool Husain and other District and Sectoral Officers were present during the event.
The program was organised adhering to all the COVID related protocols to avoid the risk of infection.
During the event, the public and their representatives apprised the visiting officer about several issues and demands of their areas including macadamization of roads, up-gradation of schools, better health services, paucity of staff in Govt institutions.
The ADDC gave a patient hearing to all the issues and demands projected by the public and their representatives and passed on the spot directions to the concerned officers for immediate redress of their genuine concerns.
Addressing the public during the event, the ADDC said that the District Administration is committed to provide all basic amenities to the public and ensure that the benefits reach the last man in the queue.
Underlining the people's role in developmental processes, he also appealed to the public to ensure their active participation in the developmental process to take their areas to new heights.
Calling for strict adherence to COVID related protocols, he appealed to the public to follow COVID appropriate behaviour in letter and spirit to avert the third COVID wave in the district. Highlighting several Govt schemes and programs meant for the welfare of the general public, he urged the people to come forward and avail the necessary benefits of the same.
He also directed the officers to work with a missionary zeal so that the people of the area may not be deprived of Government schemes besides he asked them to gear up their field machinery and ensure that the difficulties of the people are addressed and resolved at the earliest.
ADDC also assured the public that all their grievances have been documented and all their genuine concerns would be redressed in a phased manner with the intervention of the concerned departments.
