GDC Ramgarh organizes Swami Vivekananda webinar

SAMBA, Jan 20: Government Degree College (GDC) Ramgarh, organized the first Swami Vivekananda webinar today to mark the occasion of National Youth Day.
The day was celebrated under the banner of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. The event was organized under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, Principal of the college.
On the onset of the event, welcome address was delivered by Dr. Pinky Rakwal, Department of Economics. said that Swami Vivekananda was a strong supporter of Hindu ideology and believed in education and empowering people. The formal inaugural address was delivered by the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol. exhorted that it is important to make students aware of the National Youth Day.
exhorted that Swami Vivekananda was one of the most prominent philosopher, monks, and thinker of the country.
Dr Narinder Singh in his presentation shed light on Swami Vivekananda as a role model for Youth. Dr Ekta Rani, Department of Hindi, in her presentation discussed the significance of National Youth Day and impact of internet on youth.
Participants from different colleges across Jammu and Kashmir attended the event virtually through the web platform and many more joined the live session of this vary webinar on Google Meet.
Concluding remarks and vote of thanks was delivered by Bhupinder Kour, Department of Environment Science. The aim and objective of this very webinar was to deliberate on the core agenda ‘Know Importance of National Youth Day’.
All the teaching and non teaching members of the college graced the occasion with their presence. Last but not least, all the participants gave patient listening to make this event successful.
