Doda admin finalises activities for National Voters Day

DODA, Jan 21: District Administration Doda today finalised the activities to mark National Voters Day here at a meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr R. K Bharti.
The meeting was attended by Assistant commissioner Revenue (ERO) Doda. Dy. District Election officer, Doda, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Gandoh, District Education & Planning officer Doda, District information officer Doda, District informatics officer NIC Doda, Representatives of Principal GDC Doda/Bhaderwah/Kastigarh/Thathri, Representative of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ERO) Bhaderwah and Naib Tehsildar Election Doda.
The meeting listed different activities and directions were passed to the concerned for smooth conduct of the programme. The activities discussed include Pledge taking ceremony, felicitation of newly registered voters and best performers by the District Election Officer.
The meeting also decided to organise events involving students like competitions (essay, debate etc) and webinars in the GDCs/institutions on the theme "Making Elections Inclusive, Accessible and Participative".
Principal GDCs and Chief Education Officer Doda were asked to organize events in the Educational institutions.
It was also decided that online events shall be organized at each polling station By BLOs to felicitate newly registered voters by handing over the EIC. Tehsildars were asked to direct the BLOs to organise the online event at their respective polling stations.
Further it was decided to post the content on the social media handles with hashtag #NVD2022. All concerned including the District Information Officer were directed to handle the social media campaign. On the celebration of NVD 2022 through zoom, District Informatics Officer, NIC Doda was asked to arrange a zoom meeting of District Election Officer Doda with EROs, AEROs, Principal GDCs, Chief Education Officer, Doda on 25th January 2022.
