Raqeeq Ahmed Khan strongly condemns authoritative attitude of JKSSB
1/21/2022 10:30:12 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 21: Apni Party Youth Wing Vice President Raqeeq Ahmed Khan has strongly opposed the adamant attitude of J&K Services Selection Board which has risked the lives of aspirants appearing for examination being held despite increase in omicron positive cases in the Union Territory.
Khan, in a strongly worded statement to the press, has questioned Govt's silence over the violations of forcing aspirants to appear at examination centers for various vacant posts advertised for fulfillment by JKSSB in J&K.
"The aspirants are being compelled to come out of their homes and gather at a place and later sampling is being carried out using Rapid Antigen Tests despite knowing that it may lead to a massive spike in covid cases," he said.
What is important for JKSSB? To save the lives of the people or to hold exams knowing that even minor mistakes can spread the virus? he questioned again.
He said that the JKSSB must be held accountable for its authoritative attitude which has forced youth to come out at the cost of their lives.
"It is high time for the Lieutenant Governor to intervene and hold the irresponsible officials and JKSSB Chairman accountable for their adamant attitude," he said.
He demanded that the exams should be postponed till the improvement in the situation in the interest of the aspirants.
"The youth are frustrated with the way Govt is acting with waywardness and no one is questioning the decisions which are taken violating own rules of the Govt avoiding dangerous levels of the emerging covid19 situation in J&K," he said.
He said that the omicron has broken all records in J&K even though the JKSSB seems to be unmoved with the spread of the virus which is highly alarming and turned the situation most alarming.
In this situation, he said that it would not be appropriate to hold exams. Therefore, JKSSB and J&K Public Service Commission should postpone all the scheduled exams till the covid situation improves.
