JAMMU, Jan 21: An interactive meet on the topic 'A healthy outside starts from the healthy inside' was organized online under the patronship of Principal Prof. Aekta Gupta. The resource person for the session was Dr. Mitali Gupta, renowned Dietitian and Clinical Nutritionist. Prof. Shallu Gupta gave the welcome address. Principal of the College, Prof. Aekta Gupta, highlighted the essentiality of organizing such meet and sessions in COVID times so that students must know the importance of balanced diet and eating healthy.
Mitali Gupta stressed upon eating healthy before, during and after COVID-19 to mitigate physiological and psychological impact. She talked about the two types of Immunity, Innate & Acquired Immunity and spoke in detail about the importance of different minerals and vitamins, their sources to boost the immunity of the body. More healthy the diet, less would be the body prone to COVID infection, she added. Students of the college enthusiastically participated in this online programme and shared their queries. Formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Satish Kumar. The programme was organized and coordinated by Prof. Anjana Chib and Dr. Shakun Sharma. |
