SPF’s exposure authenticates ‘dedication’ of LG’s Secretariat’s staff members
1/21/2022 11:22:03 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 21: A couple of days back, members of the Sikh Progressive Front (SPF) made a startling revelation that a memorandum submitted by the Front to the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has been misplaced from LG’s Secretariat.
With such exposure, LG’s Secretariat faced embarrassment because it reflects how serious are the staff members of the Secretariat to deal with burning issues of the different sections of the society.
President of SPF Balvinder Singh informed their delegation called on LG J&K on March 4, 2021, to highlight certain important issues pertaining to Sikh Community, and accordingly, a memorandum was also submitted to him highlighting in detail ten important points.
When SPF members inquired about progress made in the memorandum submitted, they were shocked to get feedback that LG’s Secretariat has not received any such memorandum.
SPF has exposed the functioning of LG’s Secretariat at a crucial time when the whole Jammu and Kashmir Government is working “assiduously” to lure private investment in the Union Territory by spending crores and crores of rupees from the cash-starved government.
Although the poor daily-wagers, contractual, and other workers are without salaries for months together, the “pro-poor” J&K government is spending crores and crores of rupees on publicity to convince big corporate houses to exploit the natural resources of J&K without giving any promise to create job opportunity for local youth.
SPF should not expose a government that has solved all day today's problems on the people on the papers within a time of just one year. What our successive popular governments could not do in 74 years, this government has a miracle in just one year, although all achievements confined only on official files and advertisement.
Secondly, by exposing how serious are the staff members of LG’s Secretariat, SPF has also “boosted confidence” of corporate houses which have given consent to investment in J&K. These corporate houses are now confident that like SPF’s memorandum their agreements would also be safely protected by the efficient members of LG’s Secretariat who usually take suggestions from RJ’s of different private FM Channels how to run the administration of this highly sensitive complex border UT of the country.
