Early Times Report

Poonch, Jan 23: Although some political leaders are claiming to provide all basic necessities to common masses in Poonch district.
But these slogans and claims got exposed when Loran people accused political leaders and administration for the non availability of the ambulance services in their areas.
According to our sources from Loran, “there is only one non-functioning ambulance van in Primary Health Center in Loran”.
Sources said that the said ambulance is huge risk for emergency patients because it is not maintained.
They said, total eleven Panchayats of Loran block are depending on this inefficient ambulance.
They said that the hill and far-flung area where there is high risks of accidents and emergencies where there is need of more then two ambulances but administration is failed to provide more.
Driver of the ambulance has also said that he is single and in any emergency and domestic problem he can’t reached the station which is also a threat for some patients.
Locals have appealed to Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to intervene the matter and provide more ambulances and driver for PHC Loran.
