JKTMA holds meeting, discusses various issues

JAMMU, Jan 23: To discuss the burning issues of teachers most important of which is ATD-2021 of left out district and DPC of different cadre of teaching community particularly of teachers’ cadre, the Jammu & Kashmir Teacher/Master Association (JKTMA) held a meeting at Udhampur under the chairmanship of State President Rakesh Singh, State Vice President Vikram Gupta and State General Secretary Vivek Gupta. While speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Singh urged to publish ATD 2021 of left out districts within week to give sigh of relief to the teachers particularly of hard zone Teachers. Singh gave ultimatum to concerned authorities to fill all vacant posts of lecturers through 100 percent DPC by excluding distance degree holders in Science stream except those who enrolled prior to 2005 December as per SRO 339 otherwise Association will forced be to launch state wise agitation".
Vikram Gupta, State Vice President, demanded to release first and second installment of GPF of NPS Subscribers as the same is not released by many DDOs till date due to reasons best known to them. Vivek Gupta State General Secretary said that confirmation order issued by higher authorities should be implemented by all DDOs and confirm the services of all teachers who falls within the ambit of this confirmation order. State Chief Coordinator, Ajay Kumar urged the SPD Samagra Shiksha J&K School to implement order of replacement of all MDM Incharge who completed tenure of three years on rotation basis. Association also hails the initiatives of Principal Secretary B.K Singh to remove the deadwood employees who are facing vigilance enquiries on corruption charges and urged him to speed up the process to cleanse the education department from such corrupt officials.
