KISHTWAR, Jan 23: ABVP Kishtwar organized a webinar on the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chander Bose. On this occasion Ramesh Thakur, lecturer was the chief guest and Kuljeet Shan, Zila Pramukh ABVP Kishtwar was the special guest.
Thakur said that Bose was an Indian freedom fighter who was born in Cuttack, Odisha on 23 January 1897 and had played a significant role in the Independence movement with his revolutionary and nationalist ideas. He was also the leader of Indian National Army, also known as Azad Hind Fauj.
Thakur said that patriotic ideas and teachings inspired many Indians to fight for freedom from the British rule. He said that the reason of Netaji's death is still not clear so he has urged the government to work in this direction just like government has installed the statue of Netaji at India Gate to give him the due respect.
Kuljeet said that Netaji was a great student activist and his ideas are inspiration to today's youth. He said that Netaji cleared the ICS exam but he refused to work under British because his revolutionary ideas and ethics didn't allow him to work for those who were oppressor and tyrant. He urged the youth to take inspiration from Netaji and work for the betterment of country by excelling in the studies and taking part in various nationalist programs organized by the ABVP throughout the country.
