| Installation of smart meters triggers protest | | |

JAMMU, Apr 12: Residents of some of the localities here carried out a protest demonstration against the Power Development Department and Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and said that they would allow installation of smart meters in the Jammu city.
The protesters including sizeable number of women resorted to high pitch sloganeering against the PDD and BJP and took a dig at both saying that they would not allow installation of smart meters. They vowed to carry forward the agitation saying that government would be responsible for consequences thereof. |
