Don't make Kashmiri Hindus scapegoats: Shiv Sena
5/14/2022 10:52:01 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 14: Shivsena Jammu and Kashmir unit has warned the Govt not to make the Kashmiri Hindus scapegoats by deploying their youth in Kashmir valley where terrorism is yet to die down completely and target killings continue un abated. This was expressed by the leaders of Shivsena Jammu and Kashmir unit during their visit to the residence of government employee, Rahul Bhatt where they conveyed their condolence and sympathies to the family members of the deceased KP youth. It is pertinent to mention here that Rahul Bhat was shot by terrorists in Tehsildar Office at Chadoora in Budgam on Wednesday.
In a press conference held at the party's state office here today, the Shiv Sena Jammu and Kashmir unit chief Manish Sahni said that deployment of displaced Kashmiri Hindus in the valley amid the unrest and turbulence with terrorists striking at their free will, amounts to making the members of this miniscule community scapegoats. He said that by insisting on PM package migrant KP employees' posting in the valley is just like asking them to live there as sitting ducks and become easy cannon fodder for the terrorists.
The Shivsena state Chief pooh-poohed Govt's tall claims of peace and normalcy in Kashmir asserting that minorities in the Valley had been receiving the brunt and during the past few decades targeting of minorities in the Valley has become a norm that continues unabated even today. He accused the Central government as well as the Union Territory Administration of total failure in providing adequate security to Kashmiri Hindus. He said that in order to show that they still hold the sway; the terrorists are continuing the targeted killing of Kashmiri Hindus and migrant workers besides that of the security force personnel.
Manish Sahni said that need of the hour is immediate strengthening of the security system in the Valley by the government. Asserting that Shiv Sena shall not allow the Govt to make Kashmiri Hindus scapegoats in the Valley, he advised the government to stop making hollow claims and instead adopt proactive and result oriented measures to restore peace in Kashmir making it a ground reality and not a fable .
Meanwhile, Sahni assured all possible help to Rahul Bhat's six-year-old daughter Gungun in Maharashtra's higher education institutions, with the assurance of every help and support to the family members of Rahul Bhatt. Vice President Balwant Singh and Naresh Kumar were accompanying Sahni during his visit to Rahul Bhat's residence.
