Medical Employees Federation extends support to strike on May 24 5/17/2022 11:02:36 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, May 17: The Jammu & Kashmir Medical Employees Federation Jammu under the President ship of Rakesh Bakshi held meeting to support the strike on May 24, 2022. Bakshi urged the employees to be united for burning demands that is Departmental promotion Committee (promotions) of all categories in the health in support of their demands. The employees alleged that the administrative department of health & family welfare has failed to frame rules of promotions and conduct a department, which has been pending for the last four years. Several higher grade posts have been lying vacant in the department for many years including Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu & Government Hospital Sarwal Jammu. So many health employees have been retired without getting their promotion benefits. They also alleged that the administration failed to resolve the permanent salary issue of Female Multipurpose Workers and other staff getting salaries under Head-2211 Family Welfare. The salary of FMPH workers and other staff has been pending for the last five months, and the employees and their families have been facing hardship and are on the verge of starvation and many are not getting their treatment due to not being the released of their salary. The Federation also demanded the restoration of the old pension scheme for all UT employees on the analogy of neighbouring states. The non-pension scheme failed to protect the post retirement welfare of government employees and new employees want to return to the old pension scheme. Sushil Sudan, President Jammu & Kashmir Medical Employees Federation was the chief guest and he urged the employees to observe strike on May 24 from 10 AM to 1 PM keeping patients care in view emergency services is exempted from the preview of strike federation believe in services to humanity and on the other side rights of employees should also be protected.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
