RAJOURI, May 27: Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Pawan Kumar today discussed the arrangements for smooth conduct of Budha Amarnath Yatra, here at a meeting of officers and representatives of religious organisations.
Among the others, ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; Tehsildar Rajouri, Mehmood Khan; ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed; XEn PDD Rajouri, Mohd Hasan; AD Tourism, Ambika Bali; EO MC Rajouri, Mohd Yaqoob and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The arrangements including adequate supply of drinking water, cleanliness of the yatra grounds, construction of temporary sheds for community kitchens and langars, ration and LPG supply, security arrangements, transport arrangements, fire extinguishers, medical facilities etc were deliberated upon in detail.
The ADDC asked the concerned officers from the Jal Shakti and PDD to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply at the yatra camps so that the pilgrims do not face any problem.
He also asked the EO MC to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation at the venues while the concerned officer from the fire and emergency department was directed to keep the fire tenders on alert during the day and night at Yatra grounds.
The ADDC also directed the concerned officer from the Health Department to keep available adequate Medicare facilities for the Yatries to meet any emergency.
Addressing the officers in the meeting, the ADDC gave necessary instructions to them with regard to their duties and responsibilities while making necessary arrangements for the Yatra. |
