GCE, Jammu holds one day awareness program

JAMMU, May 27: Government College of Education, Jammu today organised One Day Awareness program on "Use and awareness of e-resources for assessing scholarly content and awareness of preparation of criteria 4 for NAAC". The programme was coordinated by Librarian Dr. Anuradha Seth, M. Ed Coordinator Dr Rajinder Kour and Dr. Deep Bangotra, Asstt Professor, Computer Science Department.
In this function, Prof (Dr)Kulvinder Kour, College Principal was the Chief Guest and Dr. Zubair Kales, Dean, Education, Cluster University Jammu was Guest of Honour.
Arun Gupta Librarian Govt College for Women, Udhampur was the resource person, who thoroughly deliberated on the theme. He inspired the gathering with his capability and shared his rich knowledge highlighting the key areas like difference between documentation and digitization, besides giving e-resources awareness about the use of e-resources He also focused on the online services such as Shodh-Sindhu, Shodhganga and created awareness about the use of online library, use of OPAC for searching books and important educational links.
Earlier Dr.Anuradha Seth welcomed the Guests and gathering. She highlighted the imperative need of holding this program designed to create ample awareness about various techniques used to help students search books in the library as easily as possible.
The programme was attended by M. Ed students of the College, M Ed integrated students Cluster University Jammu as well as the teaching faculty of the college. In the end vote of thanks was presented by Dr Deep Bangotra.
