JAMMU, May 27: Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Rahul Yadav, accompanied by Municipal Veterinary Officer (MVO) Dr. Sushil Kumar Sharma today visited Municipal Animal Care Centre, Roop Nagar, Jammu and took stock of various activities being carried out in the centre.
The MVO, JMC apprised the Commissioner that beside providing treatment to the sick & injured stray animals, animal birth control/anti rabies vaccination (dogs) programme is also being conducted in the centre. For timely rescuing of stray animals within JMC limits and sometimes outside JMC limits, dedicated rescue teams with Animal catcher vehicles have been constituted to redress the general public complaints by 24 x 7.
