| DC Rajouri finalises arrangements for Yoga Day celebrations | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, June 14: Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to discuss and finalise arrangements for International Yoga Day celebrations in the district.
Addressing the officers in the meeting, the DC said that the purpose behind the celebration of international yoga day is to raise awareness among the public of the many benefits of practicing yoga in life.
Underlining the need to educate the public about the importance of yoga in daily life, he asked the officers to generate mass awareness among the public about the health benefits of yoga and maintained that yoga should be made an integral part of life.
While finalising the arrangements for the celebration of International Yoga Day in the district, he asked the concerned officers to work in cohesion while making necessary arrangements for the smooth celebration of the day in the district.
DC also asked the concerned officers to ensure maximum participation of people in various activities related to the day for raising awareness among them about the benefits of Yoga.
The District Officer Ayush was directed to rope in all the BDCs and DDC for participation in the International Yoga Day at sports stadium Khoera where the main program would be organised.
Similar programme would be organised at panchayat and subdivision levels.
