Eventful 8-years in office
6/14/2022 10:44:28 PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed eight years in the office. His tenure has been eventful.
These eight years have changed India’s image across the world. India has emerged as a global power and no country in the world takes India for granted anymore.
Surgical strikes and Balakot airstrikes sent a clear message to Pakistan that any act of terror on the Indian soil will be avenged and Indian Army won’t hesitate to cross the Line of Control to take on the terrorists.
The government led by him abrogated Article 370 and paved the way for J&K’s complete merger with the Union of India. PM Modi took a bold decision to end the debate over J&K once and for all.
PM Modi led dispensation during the past eight years has focused on strengthening and empowering the Panchayat Raj Institutions and the local self government in J&K. This has helped in implementing the centrally sponsored schemes and J&K like other parts of the country is getting all the benefits.
The J&K is witnessing discernible transformation in all the economic and developmental sectors with special thrust on encouraging investments. This is a key point for a place where industrial development has not been substantial which has largely impacted the growth and job generation.
The investment proposals of Rs 36,000 crore for the sectors ranging from tourism, health, automobile, steel, fabrication, warehousing etc have potential to create job opportunities for over two lakh professionals, educated unemployed, skilled and unskilled workforce in a period of time.
People of J&K are fast becoming a part of the country’s growth story by extending their support to the landmark initiatives being taken by the government for heralding a new era of development.
For the government led by PM Modi J&K has been a priority.
The development projects that had remained incomplete during the erstwhile political regimes have been completed and work on many new projects has commenced.
Special economic packages sanctioned by the Centre for the people of Jammu and Kashmir are helping the denizens at the grass root level.
The benefits of the centrally sponsored schemes are trickling down to the bottom and J&K is changing fast. PM Modi’s eight years in office have scripted a new chapter in the history of Jammu and Kashmir.
