Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, June 15: Apni Party has demanded adequate drinking water and electricity in the Sudhmahadev area of the District where normal life has been put out of gear due to poor facilities. He was addressing a meeting of locals in which District Committee members were also present at Panchyat Katwalt Bashal in Sudhmahadev, Udhampur. The Provincial Vice President, Jammu, Ex-MLA, Faqir Nath said while welcoming the people who joined Apni Party in presence of District Committee Udhampur after being impressed with the Apni Party's policy of telling truth to the people and equitable development of all the regions without the regional discrmination. He said that Sudhmahadev is a famous tourist place but facing ignorance and poor planning from the tourism department. On the other hand, he said that the local administration, PHE and PDD has not been able to fulfill the demands of the locals. "The people are being forced to face clean drinking water supply shortages and unscheduled power cuts have affected normal life," he said. Prominent among those who joined Apni Party include member Panch, Mohammed Qasim, Noorani, Ali Sain, Mohammed Altaf, Sansar Chand, Mohammed Sharief, Bishan Dass, Om Parkash, Prem Nath, Zahir Hussain, Panch Mohammed Ajaz, Sunil Kumar, Mushtaq Ahmed, Abdul Rashid, Liqyat Ali and others. Meanwhile, District President, Udhampur, Hans Raj Dogra also welcomed the newcomers into the Party and hoped that their joining will strengthen the Party in Udhampur District. He said that the people from various areas have extended their support and joined the Party as they have become detached with the false slogans by the traditional political parties. "Udhampur mainly suffers because of poor development, education, health and tourism sector," he said, and added that the road connectivity is among the worst hit sectors in the District. He said that the remote areas need upgraded and better road connectivity in J&K. The District Committee members include Vice President Jagdev Singh, Vice President Noor Mohammed and others. |
