6/18/2022 11:18:55 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 18: NHPC Salal Power Station (690 MW) in Reasi district informs the common people that at present the water level of "Chenab" river is constantly increasing due to weather changes (summer and monsoon season) and In the coming days, due to the high flow of water from the onset of the monsoon, the Chenab river water level in the upstream and downstream areas of the dam can increase or decrease at any point of time during the month of June'2022 to October'2022 . Which is likely to cause unexpected high waves of water in the river
Therefore, keeping in view the above, it is requested to all general people and local residents to be cautious & careful and not to go along the river Chenab and also keep the cattle away from the banks of the river and do not try to cross the river from any unprotected places or mediums. So that it can avoid the risk of loss of any kind of life or property.
In this regard, the NHPC Salal Power Station Management has also requested to be vigilant and safe while paying special attention to the sound of "sirens" being played as a warning before leaving the water from Dam and also requested to follow the instructions written on the "Warning" board installed at various places by Salal Power Station. It is also noteworthy that if there is any loss of life or property in this context, then NHPC Salal Power Station Management will not be held responsible for this.
