GDC Women Kathua Organized its First Alumni Meet

KATHUA, June 22: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Govt. Degree College for Women Kathua organized the 1st Alumni Meet on21st June, 2022 as a step to strengthen the bond between Alumni and the college fraternity. The process of Alumni Meet had already started with the formal registration of alumni students. Dr Sangita Nagari, Esteemed Principal of the college was the chief guest of the occasion. The program was inaugurated by lighting of lamp by the chief guest and faculty members. It was followed by welcome speech by Dr Sangita Nagari, Principal of the college. In her speech, she highlighted the achievements of the college and role of Alumni in development of the Institution. She motivated the students to work hard to achieve their goals and provide their feedback for the development of the college. She reiterated that the Alumni are the backbone of the Institution and this interaction shall help to pave the way for various developmental programmes. The Alumni shared their experiences and interesting moments of campus life as well as their valuable feedback for augmentation of quality culture in teaching-learning process in the college.
Further, on this occasion, the Alumni also elected their representatives and formed an Alumni Association of the College. Mona Andotra was elected as the President, Skilva Mahotra as Vice-President, Megha Sharma as Convener of the Association. Megha, was elected as General Secretary, Prof Anu Devi as Advisor and Alka Kundal as Treasurer of the Association. The proceedings of the program were conducted by Dr. Arun Dev Singh under the supervision of Prof Ashwani Khajuria and Prof Ravinder Kour IQAC Coordinator, who also presented vote of thanks. Prof Pankaj Nandan, Dr. Naresh Sharma, Prof Shivani Sharma, Prof. Som Raj, Prof Barun Kumar Bhatti, Prof . Vaishno Devi and Roshan Lal Sharma (PTI) were als present in the Meet.
