Only NC can live upto expectations of electorate: Javed Rana

Early Times Report

MENDHAR, June 27: Senior NC leader and President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Pirpanjal, Javed Ahmed Rana maintained that it is only National Conference which can live upto the expectations of the people of J&K as all other parties have been exposed badly.
Javed Rana said this during an interaction with BDC Chairman Mendhar Tahira Jabeen, who called on the senior NC leader along with several Sarpanchs and Panchs of Block Mendhar and submitted a memorandum highlighting the plight of people due to phlegmatic attitude of the helmsmen and snarling development scenario.
Tahira apprised Javed Rana about the complete failure of District Development Council (DDC), Poonch, in carrying out development works as well as addressing the problems of the people.
She alleged that DDC Poonch has miserably failed to implement the development schemes meant for the people of the district. “Due to callous attitude of the officers/people sitting at the helm of affairs, the funds sanctioned for the implementation of development schemes are getting lapsed. The schemes under various project heads viz NABARD, Languishing projects, Jal Shakti, construction of road projects, etc have not seen the day of light resulting in lapse of funds. Bhimbar Gali to Balnoi Road is in shambles but no one is interested in taking up the project to give sigh of relief to people”, she said adding that the Tribal Ministry has already released the funds for the development of Kalaban-Chhugan villages under the Cluster Model Village scheme but despite passing of more than a year not a single development work is visible on ground.
She also alleged that Mendhar has been neglected at the hands of the incumbent Administration by causing unnecessary delay in the execution of works under various schemes and development projects thus depriving people of their rights.
After giving a patient hearing, Javed Rana said that all other parties have been badly exposed in J&K as no one cared about the welfare of people because except rhetoric there is no development on ground. He said that people should extend support to the National Conference as this is the only Tanjeem which can bail out people from the misery of underdevelopment and discrimination. He also assured to project the aforesaid demands before the concerned quarters for an early redressal.
Meanwhile, the BDC Chairperson submitted the same memorandum to the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha through the office of the Sub District Magistrate Mendhar.
