Jammu, June 28: First Aid training at workplace provides a wide range of practical first aid skills which are valuable in the working environments, from office to factory floor. First aiders need to have the ability and background knowledge to deal with a wide variety of first aid emergencies which can occur at any point of time. Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region organized 4 days First-Aid Training Programme for the employees of Saraswati Plastotech India Pvt. Limited at SIDCO Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana, District Samba w.e.f 24th June to 28th June, 2022.
Theoretical and practical knowledge was delivered/ demonstrated by Dr. Kavita Nijhon, Medical Officer, Smt. Kanchan Devi, Sup. Pharmacist along with Vironica Marwah, Field Officer, IRCS Jammu Region.
During the 4-days training course, employees were apprised of the various techniques of Disaster Management during Earthquakes, Fires, Floods, famine, basic safety equipment use, incident management. Practical demonstration covered critical skills such as how to appropriately treat someone who is bleeding, choking, or suffering from shock, Cardio pulmonary Resuscitation, ways to deal with life threatening conditions such as seizures, unconsciousness, or a non-breathing casualty. In addition, employees were shown how to handle a situation where the casualty is having a heart attack, anaphylaxis, asthma, or cardiac arrest.
The training was done under the guidance/ directions and sincere efforts of Sh. Sat Pal Sharma, Hony. Secretary, IRCS Jammu Region and supervised by Smt. Ritu Sharma, HR Head Saraswati Plastotech India Pvt. Limited .
The exam was conducted by Dt. Kavita Nijohn along with Sh. Joginder Kumar, Pharmacist, IRCS Jammu Region.
