Only NC holds acceptability in regions of J&K: Former Minister Babu Rampaul
Babu Rampaul calls for strengthening Party
6/28/2022 11:14:06 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, June 28: Former Minister and Zonal President JKNC, Babu Rampaul today said that National Conference alone was a party that has acceptability in both the regions of Jammu and Kashmir and can guarantee their equitable development.
Babu Rampaul said this while chairing a review meeting of Jammu District (Urban) Coordination Committee wherein he discussed the party's preparation at grass root level and the prevailing political situation.
The members who attended the meeting include, Jammu District (Urban) Coordinator Dr Vikas Sharma, Rahul Mahajan, Sandesh Shan, Adv Aslam Choudhary, Ashok tyagi, Narinder Bhagat and BD Dalhotra.
He said that growing unemployment was a matter of great concern as the present regime has miserably failed to create job opportunities for the youth.
Babu Rampaul also said that before 5th August 2019 Jammu used to be called as City of temples when people were getting all basic facilities like drinking water, power and clean roads. But, sadly, after August 5th 2019 Jammu city was painted as Smart City with people now facing tremendous problems with regard to drinking water supply, electricity as even roads connecting streets are in broken conditions.
Instead different taxes are being imposed upon the public on the pretext of providing amenities, but there is none to listen for redressal of public grievances.
Therefore, the public is appealed to apply the sagacity of mind before using their vote in the coming assembly elections.
He urged the LG Administration to come out of hibernation and basic amenities like power supply and drinking water be made available to public, who are clamoring day in and day out for the same during scorching hot weather.
He urged the party cadre not to waste their time and strengthen their base to defeat the nefarious designs of communal forces in the forthcoming assembly elections. He also lauded the leadership of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Jenab Omar Abdullah in sailing the party in the turbulent times.
In the meeting it was unanimously decided that party public meetings shall be organised in Ward, Block levels with full zeal and zest involving party workers on regular basis.
While sharing the achievements and good work done by National Conference during its governance, Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) and Zonal Secretary Dr. Vikas Sharma disclosed that during NC Government when Omar Abdullah was Chief Minister, he provided Degree College in each tehsil of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir as even buildings and faculty were also made available to start functioning of colleges. But this government did nothing to improve the structural facilities in the colleges, he added.
