Jammu Lawyers Pay Homage to Former President & Sr Adv B.S. Slathia

Jammu, June 28: Today Members of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu paid rich tributes and homage to their former President and Senior Advocate B.S. Slathia who expired on June, 27, 2020 at PGI Chandigarh. A condolence meet was held at Hon’ble Justice Vinod Kumar Gupta Memorial Bar Hall, High Court Complex, Jammu wherein Senior Advocates and Former Presidents of Jammu Bar A.V. Gupta, V.R. Wazir, L.K. Sharma (Sr. Adv), V.B. Gupta, Ex Sr. AAG H.A. Siddiqui, Ex MLA Ashok Sharma, H.C. Jalmeria, K.L. Pandita, Rajesh Kotwal, Nirmal Kotwal, Vinod Kotwal, Raghu Mehta, M.A. Bhat, Irfaan Khan, Ahtsham Bhat, N.D. Qazi, Anil John, Supriya Chouhan, Shams Din Shaaz, Faiz-ul-Arif, Sheikh Najeeb, Arvind Bandral, Kais Alam Beg besides large number of Advocates were also present. Rich tributes were paid to the contribution of B.S. Slathia for Bar Association Jammu and Lawyers Fraternity. His qualities of head and heart shall always be remembered. He was not confined to Jammu only but had a great impact over the lawyers fraternity throughout Jammu Division. As a mark of respect two minutes silence was observed by all the Advocates present on the occasion. The motion for paying tributes and homage to the departed Bar Leader was initiated and moved by Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed and seconded by all the Advocates present. (JNF)
