DC reviews preparedness for Digital Week, Digi Mela, Online Services delivery

DODA, July 22: Deputy Commissioner Doda today chaired a meeting of the line departments and reviewed the preparedness for Digital Week activities from July 25th to July 30th. He also reviewed the preparations and activities under Digi Mela to be held from 25th of July to 27th of July. Online services delivery mechanism in the district was also reviewed at the meeting.
It is pertinent to mention here that the J & K Government has launched over 200 digital services through all the major departments for ease of the public and to bring transparency in delivery of services to the citizens.
As many as 202 online services have been linked with Rapid Assessment Services (RAS), where beneficiaries can rate the services delivered by a particular agency/ department.
The DC informed that during the week-long celebration the Citizens would be imparted awareness about online services offered by Revenue, Social Welfare, Health, Labour and other departments by holding awareness programmes in Panchayats by Banks/ CSCs , RDD and other government departments.
Imparting awareness to the Students in 138 Higher Secondary and High Schools in the district through the medium of Nukad Natak, pamphlets and other mass communication activities forms the part of the week-long celebration, the meeting was told.
The District Officers were directed to activate their online services and to promote them by organising IEC activities in the district. The Rural Development Department was asked to spread awareness about the online services through wall paintings at block and Panchayat levels.
Regarding celebration of Digi Mela from 25th of July to 27th of July, it was given out that 30 stalls of different departments shall be installed at the venue along with staff, where the public can avail online services of the department. A committee comprising GM DIC Doda, CPO, DIO NIC, DIO DIPR, ACP and AD Employment was constituted to oversee the arrangements.
It was decided that the activities during the week especially Digi Mela would be supervised by ADDC Doda and assisted by DIO NIC and CPO
The meeting was attended by SSP, Abdul Qayoom; GM DIC, PO ICDS, CPO, CEO, CMO, DSWO, DIO DIPR, DIO NIC, AD food civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, AD Employment, LDM and other district officers.
