Jammu, July 24: A delegation of National Conference led by former minister and Zonal President Central Zone, Babu Ram Paul, and accompanied by Bharat Bhushan and Dr Vikas Sharma both Zonal Secretaries and District Coordinators Samba and Jammu Urban respectively visited Government Medical College, Jammu to enquire about the well being of those injured in a tragic road accident at Samba.
Pertinent to mention here that four persons have lost their lives while fourteen others sustained injuries in a tragic road accident that took place at Samba on late Friday evening out of which nine critically injured were shifted to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment.
During their visit to the hospital Babu Ram Paul enquired about the well being of those undergoing treatment. He also enquired about the facilities being provided to them by the hospital and district administration.
Babu Ram Paul has urged upon the LG administration to provide Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia to the next of kins of deceased and free treatment to those undergoing treatment at GMC, Jammu. He also urged upon the administration to shift critically injured to PGI Chandigarh for specialized treatment. The delegation expressed their sympathies with the families of the deceased and assured full help to those undergoing treatment. They also wished them speedy recovery. Many other party functionaries were also accompanied the delegation that visited GMC, Jammu.
