Jammu, July 31: S. KD Singh has been elected as president while Zameer-ul- Haq as general secretary of SKUAST Non Teaching Employees Association-Jammu (NTEA-J). In the General Elections of the association held at Conference Hall, Main Campus Chatha of SKUAST-Jammu under the supervision of Dr Vikas Sharma, Returning Officer, NTEA-J Elections 2022 and Associate Professor (Biochemistry), S. KD Singh was declared elected as president of the Union by securing 318 votes. He defeated his rival Dheeraj Choudhary, who bagged 194 votes. Rajesh Sharma was elected as Sr. Vice president (284 votes) against Rohit Kumar (224 votes) whereas Gursajiwan Singh was elected as Vice president (313 votes) against S. Kuldeep Singh (195 votes). Zameer-ul- Haq was elected as general secretary by securing 292 votes as he defeated his rival Naresh Kumar Bhat, who bagged 220 votes.
Varundeep Dubey was elected as Joint Secretary by defeating his opponent Parveen Kumar by 127 votes. Smt. Seema Bhat was elected as Secretary by defeating her opponent Smt. Rekha Sawhney Kapoor by 102 votes. Dheeraj Rajwal was elected as Publicity Secretary by defeating his opponent S. Hardeep Singh by 106 votes. Bimal Singh Jamwal was elected as Organizing Secretary by defeating his opponent Ashish Katoch by 115 votes. S. Chanchal Singh was elected as Additional Organizing Secretary as he defeated Imran Hussain by 173 votes. Kewal Swaroop was elected as Treasurer as he defeated his opponent Nirmal Jit Dogra by 101 votes. & Tirath Ram was elected as Joint Treasurer by defeating his rival Ashok Kumar by 105 votes.
Dr PK Rai Professor (Soil Science), Dr Rajeev Bharat Associate Professor (Agronomy), Dr Jasbir Singh Manhas Associate Professor (Agril. Extension) and Dr Nazim Khan Assistant Professor (Livestock Farm Complex) acted as Assistant Returning Officers where as Dr Vivek M Arya Associate Professor (Soil Science) acted as observer in this General Elections of SKUAST Non Teaching Employees Association-Jammu (NTEA-J) where the Team lead by S. KD Singh was declared victorious with thumping majority.
