People’s miseries increased manifold as J&K Admn proved failure: Rattan Lal Gupta
8/2/2022 10:10:39 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Aug 2 : Rattan Lal Gupta National Conference Provincial President Jammu on Tuesday alleged that people’s miseries have increased manifold times under the present J&K Administration on account of policy deficit and lack of vision.
In a statement issued to media persons, the senior NC leader said that the people in the region are lurching for respite since August 5, 2019, the day the centre has declared the Articles 370 and 35A null and void. He said that the incumbent administration in J&K has been proved to be inefficient as its so-called people friendly initiatives have been proved to be anti-people and anti-J&K. He said that unemployment is an issue which has gone totally out of control in J&K with the dispensation having no idea how to deal with the same. The mishandling of the issue of regularization of thousands of daily wagers in the region shows the inability and lack of will of the administration to resolve this vital issue leaving the aforesaid segment and their families to suffer miserably. “The recent carelessness shown in case of flash floods after a day long spell of heavy downpour in many parts of J&K also speaks of failure of the dispensation which is expert in self boasting but zero on ground”, he said adding that still there is time to assess the losses and give some relief to the victims of the nature’s fury as in many cases poor designing of civic infra raised under this regime led to inundation especially in areas falling under Jammu City.
Coming down heavily against the discrimination shown by the Government over land laws, the NC stalwart leader said that under similar conditions and changes in Ladakh, no one from outside the region can buy land and even Himachal Pradesh has similar provisions, but in J&K the government has allowed open loot as anyone can purchase land here making mockery of the people. He also raised the issue of the miserable condition of farmers in the region as the government has no clear cut policy for their welfare. “There is no subsidy on fertilizers and no MSP has been fixed till date but the administration is busy in rhetoric over enhancing their status which is totally unfounded”, he said adding that J&K administration is relying on bundles of lies as on ground zero people are lurching for even basic amenities but the government is not getting tired of making castles in air about advent of Achhe Din. Highlighting another significant issue which has entangled the region with miseries, Rattan Lal said that contrary to assurances and announcements of colossal policies, the true picture of the industry in J&K is that over 60 industries had downed their shutters since August 5, 2019 and as far as opening of the new one is concerned, the outcome is a big zero puncturing the big balloon of lies of the governments both at centre and the one in the J&K.
