Early Times Report

MENDHAR, Aug 5: Senior National Conference leader and President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Pirpanjal, Javed Ahmed Rana termed the August 5, as the Black Day in the history of J&K claiming that on this day in 2019, the BJP ‘shamefully’ played with the future of the people of the region by snatching away their identity by declaring null and void the Article 370 and also degraded the status by way of making J&K a Union Territory.
In a statement issued to media persons, the NC leader said that the balloon of claims made by BJP leadership has already been punctured as in the name of development J&K has got roads with kingsize potholes, huge bills minus electricity in conductors, deaths during pandemic and there is hardly any fraternity which is not on roads seeking justice. He said that PHE daily wagers, SI aspirants, FAA aspirants, healthcare workers, and so many other working groups are seeking justice but the present dispensation working in J&K but controlled remotely by the centre is unconcerned as the only aim of those sitting at helm is to force their decisions and intimidate the leadership of Jammu and Kashmir. Javed Rana said in the name of development big contractors from outside the state are enjoying bounties but the local contractors, traders and daily wager are bound to face starvation as nothing is meant for them under the so-called ‘development-oriented government’. He said that only the direct-beneficiaries are celebrating the August 5 as a big day because the common man is confronting with sky-rocketing inflation, unemployment as never before and poverty by skipping meals and therefore only one thing is coming to his or her mind and that is Black Day.
