8/6/2022 10:56:15 PM
Early Times Report
REASI, Aug 6: Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President National Conference (NC) Jammu has asserted that people of J&K are suffering miserably due to insensitive bunch of bureaucrats ruling the roost and failing the governance of this sensitive state. He expressed this while addressing a one day Party Convention here today.
In his address to the party leaders, workers and activists present in large numbers at the venue of convention, Rattan Lal Gupta accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Govt at the Centre as well as the Union Territory Administration of having miserably failed to manage the affairs of the fragile and terror tormented Jammu and Kashmir and its people.
The senior National Conference leader while making special reference to Reasi district said that people across this district are reeling under a severe crisis on account of scarcity of drinking water which is the second basic necessity after air for the survival of life. He said that basically the Jammu and Kashmir state is not being run by a democratically elected Govt but by a bunch of bureaucrats who in absence of connect with the people at grass roots level have failed the governance as a result of which the people are suffering badly on all counts.
Rattan Lal Gupta said that the people are not getting the minimum basic amenities due to the negligent and careless attitude of the bunch of bureaucrats who are ruling the roost here but are totally insensitive to the people's pressing issues. He said that the situation on ground is quite pathetic which is evidenced by the fact that there is cosmetic development in some of the urban areas while rest of the areas especially the far flung and remote areas have been neglected by the Govt for the reasons best known to it.
The National Conference leader asserted that despite making tall claims of transparency and accountability Corruption galore dominates the J&K scenario with never heard of scams being revealed every other day especially pertaining to recruitments thus spoiling the career of youth across the Union Territory. The cancellation of the select lists by the Govt has resulted in chaos and frustration of even the genuine aspirants.
Rattan Lal Gupta asserted that National Conference is the only party that is deeply rooted to the people at the grass roots level across Jammu and Kashmir and can fully address the issues of the people. He appealed to the people to further strengthen the National Conference and support it wholeheartedly in the elections to the J&K Assembly which are expected to be held in the near future.
