DC reviews I-Day arrangements

JAMMU, Aug 6: Deputy Commissioner, Avny Lavasa today reviewed the arrangements for Independence Day 2022 celebration, here at a meeting held in the DC Office complex.
Commissioner JMC Rahul Yadav, SSP Chandan Kohli, ADC L&O Minga Sherpa, ADC ADM Satish Sharma, CPO Yoginder Katoch, ACR Vijay Kumar, CEO Suraj Singh Rathore, CMO Harbaksh Singh, Deputy Director Information (Hqr) Dr. Rehana Akhter Bijli along with senior officers from Police, Security, Jal Shakti, PDD, Health, Sports and Youth Affairs and other concerned departments were present on the occasion.
Threadbare discussion was held with regard to the security arrangements, traffic regulation, seating arrangements, Full Dress Rehearsal, decoration, Shahnai vadan, PAS, Power and water supply, transport arrangements, sanitation, Medicare facilities, invitation cards, Barricading at venue of the function and other vital issues.
The DC inquired from the officers from security and police about the arrangements being put in place by their respective departments. She directed them to make fool-proof security arrangements in advance for the National event.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the Deputy Director Information to make the arrangements of Public Address System, Media coordination for proper coverage, Shehnai Vadan besides recommendation of commentators for the event.
The DC instructed the Jammu Municipal Corporation and PHE to ensure drinking water at the venue on the I-Day celebrations.
The PDD and Jal Shakti department were directed to ensure proper management of electricity and water including water tankers at the venue.
The CMO was asked to ensure proper medical facilities along with staff and ambulances at the venue.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Officers to ensure all related arrangements in advance and work in close coordination for the smooth conduct of Independence Day celebrations.
