SKPA organizes 5 day course on “Investigation of heinous crimes

Jammu, Aug 6:“Investigation of Heinous Crimes” and Cyber Forensics culminated. 25 investigating officers participated in the courses.
Nayeem Abass Hamdani, Cyber Consultant enabled the investigators in understanding Cyber Crime investigation alongwith SOPs for handling of digital evidences at the scene of crime and the fundamentals of digital forensics. Whereas the course on Heinous Crimes was based on broad modules of Crime against Women, fundamentals of criminal justice system, IOCJ, investigation of terror crimes.
Vinay Kumar, SSP, JKPS, Dy. Director (Admn.) SKPA was the chief guest on the occasion.
In his Valedictory address Vinay Kumar informed the audience that the courses were aimed with the Capacity Building of investigators to effectively investigate the heinous crimes. In his address Sh. Vinay Kumar shared his valuable experience as investigator and prosecution witness in heinous crime and also advised the participants to be sensitive and responsive to the crimes affective children and women, he also laid stress to adopt proper procedure during investigation and use the latest investigation techniques while investigating the heinous crime as well as crimes of cyber space. Dr. Kavita Suri, HoD, Department of Life Learning University of Jammu, Jagpal Sharma, Dy.SP SCRB, team of experts of explosives, from District Police Udhampur, Sh. Tahir Hussain, Dy.SP SKPA and Rakesh Manni, Inspector member faculty delivered lectures during the training programme.
The participants were advised to create peer groups back home by sharing knowledge gained during training. The Valediction function was also attended by Sh. Suraj Singh, Dy.SP, AD (Trg/R&D) and other faculty members of SKPA.
